Assessment Instruments and Tools
Student work is the most powerful evidence of learning, but it must be measured authentically. Assessment should be integrated as a regular practice in our teaching, interfacing seamlessly with our students’ activities throughout the curriculum and co-curriculum. Effective assessment tools provide useful information for students to judge their own learning, for faculty to enhance teaching, and for programs and institutions to make informed decisions based on student achievement.
